What is OCIA?

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a pathway for those seeking to explore the Catholic faith and enter more deeply into life with Christ and His Church. It's a welcoming process rooted in prayer, learning, and community, and it’s open to people from a variety of faith backgrounds

Who is OCIA for?

OCIA is for those who:

  • Have never been baptized and feel called to the Catholic faith
  • Were baptized in another Christian tradition and now seek full communion with the Catholic Church
  • Were baptized Catholic but have not received First Communion or Confirmation
  • Have been away from the Church and desire to return through Reconciliation
  • Are simply curious and want to learn more without committing to joining right away

Whether you're just starting to ask questions or are ready to take a big step in faith, OCIA offers a supportive environment to grow spiritually and find your place in the Church.

A Journey of Faith and Community

What makes OCIA so powerful is the community of believers it brings together. You're not walking this road alone. Every year, participants, sponsors, and leaders walk side by side, learning, growing, and deepening their love for Christ and His Church. Even longtime Catholics find their faith renewed through this journey.
